What is pilates and why should I do it?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Pilates is a movement method created by Joseph Pilates, originally called Contrology, that focuses on strength, breath, and mindful control of the body. It builds core strength, improves posture, and supports healthy, balanced movement. Gentle but effective, Pilates helps you feel stronger, more focused, and more connected—both physically and mentally.
What do I wear for class?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
For pilates and yoga classes please wear comfortable and form fitting clothing so that you an move with ease while allowing your instructor to check your form. Please do not wear anything longer than your feet or flowing especially for reformer classes. For our meditation classes feel free to wear anything that feels cozy and comfortable and allows you to switch off.

Grip socks are required for all reformer and tower classes. They are not required in our mat studio, however if you prefer to cover your feet we require grip socks over regular socks. If you do not own a pair we sell some in our studio.

circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Our classes are designed for all people over the age of 16. We have beginner, intermediate and mixed level classes and our instructors are trained in how to ensure you are taught at your appropriate level.

We also have pre and postnatal classes for women in this transitional season of life.

Unfortunately we are not physios and therefore are unable to accept clients for group pilates and yoga classes who need dedicated attention due to recovery from an injury or surgery. In private classes we are able to work closely with your physio to create a safe and effective session for you.

circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
We have a robust schedule of pre and postnatal classes at Forza that are suitable for women in their second and third trimesters in addition to once your baby is born. These classes include yoga, mat pilates and reformer/ tower pilates.

We require a doctors note in advance to ensure that it is safe for you to exercise with us both prenatally and once you have been cleared by your doctor after delivery

In your first trimester feel free to join beginner or mixed level classes, we do not recommend our intermediate level classes in this season especially our Power class.

Yes, men are allowed to take any class at Forza - however we do have a men's specific reformer/tower class every Saturday.

circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Please bring grip socks for reformer/tower classes (they are optional for mat) in addition to a closed lid water bottle. You may also want to bring a small towel with you. We sell both grip socks and bottled water, and rent towels for a small fee. Please note we provide non slip mat towels for infrared classes in the mat studio.

circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Our studio spaces are an outside shoe free zone. Please remove your shoes at the top of the staircase and place them in a locker. We provide plastic bags for your shoes inside the lockers. There are small shoe racks if you have arrived early and all the lockers are in use.

You may see our staff or instructors wearing shoes, please note these are studio shoes and have never been worn outside.
How do I cancel a class?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
You can cancel a class within your Momence account. Unfortunately we have a 9 hour cancellation policy, so if you cancel less than 9 hours before your class your credit will be deducted from your account. If you are a "No Show" your credit will also be deducted from your account. If you are on a membership or unlimited package we will charge a fee of RM15 for mat classes and RM25 for reformer / tower classes. We have limited spaced in our mat and reformer/tower studios and unfortunately late cancellations and no shows takes a space away from another client.
I'm running late for a class what do I do?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Please try to arrive 10 minutes early for your class. Unfortunately we are unable to admit clients if you are more than five minutes late. Our reason for this is because it is disruptive to other clients and unfair to your instructor who will need to keep teaching while getting important information from you.

If you have arrived at the studio and the 5 minute grace period is over we will do our best to help rebook you into the next class if there is space. Unfortunately if you call us to say you will be super late our "No Show" policy will apply.
Do you have a waitlist?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Yes! Our booking system Momence has a waistlist function, so if your desired class is full you can sign up for this. When a spot in the class becomes available, the system will automatically send an SMS to the first person on the waitlist, asking them to confirm that they want to be booked into the class. If you don’t have a phone number on file you will be contacted via email.
You have 15 minutes to confirm if you want to be booked into the class before the system moves to the next person on the waitlist. You can see where you are on the waitlist within your Momence account.
Please remember that the 9-hour cancellation policy also applies to waitlisted spots that are added into the class, so if you say yes to a spot and then don’t cancel or show up, you will be deducted the credit or charged a late fee if on an unlimited offer or membership.
Why has my class been cancelled?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
If your class has been cancelled it may be due to a few reasons:

  • Your instructor has had an emergency and we were not able to find a replacement on time
  • There were not enough sign ups for the class to proceed
  • Something has happened in the studio eg power cut or water cut

Please note if your class is scheduled you will not be charged and your credit will be returned to your account.
Can I bring my child to the studio?
circle-plus-brown-1px circle-minus-brown-1px
Unfortunately our studios are adult spaces and we do not allow children to accompany their parents to classes - both in the actual studio and in the lounge areas. The only exception to this are our postnatal mum & bubs classes where precrawling babies are allowed into the studios with their mothers only.
